About Simple Machining

Why We Started Simple Machining.

We like building cool things.

And when we needed a custom gear and received a prohibitively expensive quote of over $16,000, we began searching for a more practical solution. That’s when we discovered 3D printing, and decided to make the gear ourselves. We bid on a 3D printer, and as fate would have it, we won.

Soon after, we found ourselves printing every day, experimenting with new designs that would have otherwise taken far too much time and and money using traditional methods. What began with making prototypes for ourselves and friends quickly grew into Simple Machining.

Where We Are Today.

From our humble beginnings with a single 3D printer, Simple Machining has since evolved into a full service manufacturing partner, proudly based in Livermore, California. Our commitment to innovation and customer service has enabled us to expand our services, now including CAD Drafting, 3D Printing, and CNC Milling. Having faced roadblocks ourselves, we don’t see Manufacturing Made Accessible as just a tagline — it’s our guiding principle.
